The Experience

You're invited to join us July 7-10 for our second annual Content Creators Camp in Western North Carolina! This immersive, experiential course begins with an overnight backpack to a favorite local spot and continues with a two night stay at the rustic, mountaintop Cabins at Sandy Mush Bald. As a participant you'll walk away with a master-class experience in content creation from various sellable forms of writing to field and product photography. Content Creators Camp will cover the following writing, photography and business topics Adventure Narratives Skills + How To Gear Review Trip Reports Social Media Copy Adventure Photography Pitch Process Networking and Business 101 More about the hosts of Content Creators Camp Shannon Davis has worked in the outdoor industry since he was 16 years old. It started at The Orme Summer Camp in Arizona when he realized he could get paid to do fun things and that having a "job" didn't have to feel like work at all. He's since lead outdoor pursuits programs, been a mountain guide on Mt. Rainier, and enjoyed a long run in outdoor media as a successful freelance writer and editorial leader at Backpacker, Climbing, and REI. He was most recently editor-in-chief at Backpacker. He lives in Lyons, Colorado where he's also a volunteer firefighter. Steven Reinhold is the Founder of The Appalachian Adventure Company and Steward of our Stoke. He has represented numerous outdoor brands, including Backpacker Magazine, as an Athlete/Ambassador and has created content for publications such as Backpacker, Outside Business Journal, Blue Ridge Outdoors and organizations such as the Southern Environmental Law Center, Leave No Trace, Black Folks Camp Too and Obōz Footwear and he is beyond stoked to host Content Creators Camp!
